Anita is a
writer and essayist, and the winner of the 2004 First Words
South Asian Literary Prize. She loves books that ask to
be reread, over and over again; music that is ecstatic; paintings
that are so beautiful that she can’t drag her eyes away. She
drinks coffee to keep herself from getting too carried away while
